Sinful Sauces was created last summer by a man and wife team who are keen to bring fresh-tasting innovative types of chilli sauces for everybody to enjoy. Sinful Sauces range of hot sauces called “7 Deadly Sins Collection” (Envy, Passion, Addiction, Sublime, Wicked, Wrath and Bliss) is already making some noise in the chilli community and they are currently developing other types of chilli produce such as pickles and chilli chutneys. Each sauce from the 7 deadly sins collection has its own particularity and is ranging from mild to extreme:
Starting with the unique Sinful Sauces Envy Hot Sauce; this is the first chilli sauce that we have found that uses kiwi fruit! The colour alone makes you want to break open the seal and take a good gulp of it! Green jalapenos have been added to bring in just a mild heat, making this Envy chilli sauce truly delectable. This is a great hot sauce from Sinful Sauces to bring to friends who are wary of spice but want to discover the wonderful world of chillies!
Sinful Sauces Passion Hot Sauce is also a sweet chilli sauce but altogether different than Sinful Sauces “Envy” as it uses passionfruit and pineapple for a refreshing taste. The vibrant golden colour and exhilarating smell makes us weak in the knees everytime while the sharpness and heat coming from orange habaneros make for an awesome chilli sauce to use with many a dish and even in smoothies or milkshakes!
We are absolute fanatics of Sinful Sauces’ Addiction Hot Sauce. This chilli sauce uses mango and apricot as well as orange habaneros which bumps this sauce into the realm of medium hot sauces. The flavour is complex and fragrant and we just cannot get enough of it.
We now understand why Sinful Sauces called this chilli sauce Addiction!
Another unusual chilli sauce is Sinful Sauces Sublime Hot Sauce as it uses clementines as a main component! Other ingredients include honey, lemon, lime and a touch of cider vinegar. Red onions and fresh ginger are also in the background of this Sublime hot sauce while the beloved Scotch Bonnets bring in some heat without overpowering the whole ensemble. Another superb chilli sauce from Sinful Sauces.
Increasing in heat, the savoury chilli sauces from Sinful Sauces are also really gorgeous. Wicked Hot Sauce for example is made with the Serrano chilli pepper, a pepper that isn’t used enough we find despite its great taste and sharp heat. This chilli pepper is slowly cooked for hours with roasted red peppers, juicy tomatoes, red onions, red wine vinegar and spices. We have tried Sinful Sauces Wicked hot sauce with fish, meat, vegetables and cheese and it just seems to go with everything!
Sinful Sauces “Wrath” hot sauce is rightly named as the heat comes from the naga chilli pepper. Its pungent heat is notorious in the chilli world and in “Wrath” chilli sauce, its heat is counterbalanced with tomatoes, sweet red peppers, onions, red wine vinegar along with a hint of black treacle and lime to boost the whole flavour up. Applewood smoked garlic has also been used in Sinful Sauces’ Wrath chilli sauce to form a complex mix with an incredible flavour.
Bliss Hot Sauce is the last instalment in Sinful Sauces’ 7 deadly sins collection of chilli sauces and don’t we love it! Tomatoes and onions have been slowly cooked for hours along with the smoky chipotle, some red wine vinegar, garlic, black pepper and spices. Here again the naga has its place and provides a scorching all natural level of heat that will leave you wanting. This is a great chilli sauce to have at barbecues this summer!
So there you go, Sinful Sauces’ seven deadly sins collection of chilli sauces caters for every taste or mood and at the Devil’s Garden we cannot wait to see what else they have in store over the next few months!
